If you think Orruks are scary, wait until you meet a smart one…

Dominion will be in our hands in just a few short days, and with it the first of the miniatures for the new Orruk Warclans, the Kruleboyz. The true followers of the mighty Kragnos, the Kruleboyz look to be a powerful new foe for the beleaguered forces of Order(not to mention Chaos and Death), and Dominion gives us a great start for a new Swamp Orruk army. However, we know we’ve only scratched the toxic surface of this incredible new army, and looking at the releases for previous starter armies as well as other Orruk forces, we can make a few guesses as to what we’ll see next (aside from what has already been teased).

Gnashtoof Cavalry

While the description of the Great Gnashtoof describes them as being difficult to tame and bring under control, I think it would be a waste to not have a unit of smaller creatures ridden by Orruk warriors. In the same style as the Boarboyz or Gore-Gruntaz from the other Orruk armies, Gnashtoof Riders would make the perfect addition to the Kruleboyz. Plus, it would be really disappointing for GW to introduce such a cool looking minor beastie and only use it once.

Swamp Troggoths

We’ve already seen an Orruk riding a Troggoth into battle on its way, so the next logical step is a full squad of smaller ones. Even though Troggoths are usually the purview of Gloomspite, I think they would be a fun and unique addition to the Kruleboyz, to bridge the gap between the Orruks and the Gitz in much the same way as the Hobgrotz. Here’s hoping we’ll get a brand new breed of Troggoth somewhere between the River and Stone Troggoth, complete with poisoned attacks.

While they aren’t the most powerful unit in the Kruleboyz roster, they exist as a separate race within the army, so there will probably be a leader in case someone wants to go fully Gobbo. They might even get their own allegiance abilities, in much the same way as the Skaven Greatclans. This is admittedly less likely, but if GW wants to expand the Hobgrot line, a dedicated leader would be the first step.

Anything you’re hoping to see?
