He’s off the shelf, has his chunky bois together, and is ready to bring the pain. Hello Morty!

I know Morty isn’t the best of the best right now – but dangit I want to play with him after finally painting the model I got when he initially came out.  I played with a lot of stand ins (super awesome models from Creature Caster) but finally painted him up during the Pandemic in preparation for the Death Guard release.  This just means I want to throw him on the tabletop even if he can’t Battle-Bros-for-life with Magnus any longer.  With that – let’s show this list that I like to call – Fat Bois all around.

Of course, I want to play with my Terminators too as I can play the banner/brick game while Morty does what he does best.  Become a straight pain in the butt to deal with.  At the same time, I just want to have a nice looking brick army of doom that isn’t too hard to play.

Morty’s Tactics

The list is pretty simple. You hve got the two bricks that start on the table, and plan on moving forward to grind out problems.  The Death Shrouds can deep strike in, go grab objectives, and again be a pain to remove and deal with.  The relic stacks give you some FNP, extra hits, and a bit of protection from other super assault options.  Plus Morty will be moving around and doing what he likes to do – kicking the crap out of things in his way.  I have a few models to finish this out but it feels like it would look neat on a display board and be easy enough for the poor little Goatboy to figure out and play.  At least until CSM comes out.
