Warhammer+ is coming in two weeks. Get ready for a whole bunch of new ways to engage with all things Warhammer.

It’s full steam ahead for Warhammer+ as the launch date is quickly approaching. August 25 is two weeks away and there are lots of features from the app we’re excited about.

What To Expect

via Warhammer Community

“Sign up and you get a free exclusive miniature, access to an ever-growing selection of fantastic animated series, in-depth videos covering every aspect of the hobby, a digital vault of classic books and magazines, premium app access, and more, across a range of platforms – including apps, websites, and even in person. “

Yep, you read that right – there will be an App and a Website you’ll be able to access Warhammer+ from and some IRL benefits, too. For the App, it will be available at launch on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku. That’s quite a line up of platforms to get your Warhammer fix on. At least it will be easy to watch those new animated shows from the couch!

If you’re chosen platform isn’t listed, don’t fret – more platforms will be supported post-launch. Alternatively, you can always access the website to get to all these new shows, too. And speaking of access we also know which regions will get first crack at the content.

  • UK
  • US
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Ireland
  • Belgium
  • Netherlands
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Germany
  • Italy

If you’re region isn’t on the list you’ll have to be a bit more patient as more territories will be added soon after launch.

The Apps Within The App

If you’re currently using the Warhammer 40,000 app then you’re going to want to make the jump to Warhammer+ as those features are also included in the new Warhammer+ service. You’ll need to opt in, but if you do, you’ll get access to your free chosen miniature three months earlier than other folks who haven’t swapped over. More on those miniatures below.

“The bonus applies to annual subscribers to Warhammer 40,000: The App, and monthly subscribers who sub for 9 months continuously. Annual subscribers will get an extra gift too, in the form of a special Warhammer+ pin badge that will arrive alongside the free miniature.”

As for the yet to be launched Age of Sigmar App, as we noted earlier, the launch date for this app got subtly shifted back. That said, this new App will also be included in the Warhammer+ offerings and it is supposed to launch with an army builder that’s been tailored for the new edition – plus more.

“Keep an eye on Warhammer Community for more information as we get closer to release, and look out for a free beta period coming soon.”

With only two weeks before launch, we’re really wondering when that free beta period will be launching. Lots of folks are eager to give it a test drive – myself included.

How About Those Miniatures?

“Then there are two exclusive miniatures available, a Vindicare Assassin and an Orruk Megaboss. These cracking sculpts are only available to subscribers, who will be able to choose one for free and get the option to buy the other one later. Warhammer+ will release a new pair of miniatures every year.”

This is also pretty appealing. I don’t even play Orruks and I’m very tempted by that Warboss model! These aren’t the only offerings outside of the App you’ll get either. There are exclusive offers, event access, and more things yet to be announced on the way. We’re also curious about what those offers, event access, and “more” things will be.

Vault Access

The last thing we’re going to mention from the Warhammer+ offerings is the Warhammer Vault. This is a MASSIVE stockpile of older publications that you’ll also get access to. This includes the entirety of last year’s White Dwarf magazines to kick things off. It also includes “magazine issues, lore sections from classic codexes, and more” which we’re interested to learn about. It’s going to be accessable from both the App or the website, too. If you’re looking for content to consume, the Vault will keep you satisfied for a very long time.

More Warhammer, more often, indeed!
