Well this one has us scratching our heads. Time to get this Rumor Engine off to a rocky start.

So this new Rumor Engine is quite interesting. Let’s not make any guesses until we get a better look at the image presented by the great machine itself.

“The Rumour Engine wasn’t working today! We had a look around the back, and it appears a squig infestation has chewed through the wire and piping that connects the machine to various parts of Warhammer Community Towers.

We sent an intrepid team of engineers back there earlier – we haven’t seen them since, but the machine seems to be working again.”

It’s a Space Marine! Sorry, that’s just a gut reaction at this point. But what are we looking at here? Well, we’ve got some weird rocks that appear to be floating? Breaking apart? Hovering in space? We’ve actually seen this before – from a few different models.

I’m not 100% sure it’s an Alarith Stonemage, but even the floaty rocks are the same rectangular shape. Aside from that, check out the top part of the image. Is that a boot of some sort?

Are we looking at some fancy basing? Is some new miniature heroically posed on top of a bunch of strange rocks? What’s up with boot? Imperial, Xenos, mineral – what could it be? We all know how heroes of the Grimdark love to pose on rocks.

And it’s not just the Imperium who loves their scenic rocks.

Rocks…skulls…marines…you get the idea.

Do rocky ruins count? Sure – why not!

I guess the point is this one could be anyone. Well, anyone with a boot. I guess Tyranids are out. Maybe Chaos Daemons, too? In any case, this one is going to remain a mystery for a while. But if you’ve got any guesses we’d love to read them in the comments. Drop us a line and play along with the Rumor Engine goodies!

Rocks. It’s rocks, right?!
