Sometimes all you really need is some warpaint and a bad idea.

Alongside the sneaky Kruleboyz and the armored Ironjawz in the Orruk Warclans are the tribal and mystical Bonesplitterz. Daubing themselves in sacred warpaint that provides them magical protection and throwing themselves at the largest beasts they can find, these feral orruks are the finest hunters in the Realms. There’s no greenskin better at taking down the massive monsters that roam the battlefields.

With the new Orruk Warclans book these terrifying warriors just got a lot more frightening. They’re going to bring a whole lot of smash to the arena of war especially in the new high monster meta. Plus their subfactions got a pretty snazzy booster shot, too!

Bonegrinz

Not content with letting the Kruleboyz have all the fun with shooting, the Bonegrinz faction pride themselves on being “da finest ranged huntaz in all da Realmz”, and they aren’t too far off. Of course, where the Kruleboyz are precise and accurate with their arrows, the Arrowboyz prefer to just blanket an area with projectiles and let the weight of damage take down their targets.

Bonegrinz Arrowboyz add an extra attack to their missile weapons, increasing their shots per turn to 3. With the minimum size of that unit being 10, that means you’ll be dishing out at least 30 arrows with each shooting attack, and you know what they say about mud and walls. Plus, the Bonegrinz can take Arrowboyz as Battleline, so you can load your army to the brim with angry archers and black out the sun 300 style.

Icebone

Yet another Bonesplitterz subfac that takes a cue from the Kruleboyz (though since they were around first I suppose it’s the other way around), the Icebone carry weapons forged of magic ice from the north of Ghur that freezes whatever it touches. Armor is great and all, but when even contact with a weapon causes subzero temperatures, all it does is make you a heavier icicle.

Whenever an Icebone model rolls an unmodified 6 to wound with a melee weapon, they do a number of mortal wounds equal to the damage of the weapon and the attack sequence ends. While this will usually just be 1, a few Big Stabbas can reduce even the heftiest monsters to frozen chunks. What’s more, you get to take Boarboys as Battleline, and since the Icebone trait works for mount attacks too, you can unleash a ton of potential mortal wounds from the back of fast, angry piggies.

Drakkfoot

The mystical branch of the Bonesplitterz, the Drakkfoot orruks have made it their mission to wipe out all the unnatural things from the Realms, like daemons and the undead, and they do it better than almost anyone. Where most armies would be repelled by the mystical protection of death or chaos magic, the zealous faith of the Drakkfoot allows them to push through with no difficulty.

Any wounds or mortal wounds caused by Drakkfoot models ignore ward saves, and with the big emphasis of those in the new addition, these fellas are going to be hero killers of the highest order. They also allow you to take Morboys, the most manic of all the Bonesplitterz, as Battleline, and with their high volume of attacks, you’ll be chewing through everything from Chainrasps to Zombie Dragons with ease.
