Hot off the Gen Con floor, come get a sneak peek at a new Black Templars boxed set, with 12 new miniatures, and a Codex Supplement.

Big news for all you fans of purgation and suffering not the unclean to live–Games Workshop had a sneak peek inside an upcoming Black Templar boxed set with all new miniatures and a new Codex Supplement with rules for the Imperial Fist’s most Inquisitor-like successor chapter.

Heretics beware! Witches beware! The Black Templars are launching a new crusade, and you’re not going to be safe from their righteous anger.

It all starts with the Black Templars Army Set, which contains 13 miniatures: a Redemptor Dreadnought and 12 new Black Templars–a Marshal, Emperor’s Champion, and a new 10-man Primaris Crusader Squad.

Take a look inside and you’ll get a glimpse of all the new miniatures.

The Marshal comes with a variety of options for weapons and heads, and comes with a purity seal, because what Black Templar would be complete without one?

The Crusader Squad contains a mix of veterans as well as Primaris Neophytes–green recruits who serve Initiates, overseen by a veteran.

The army box is also where you’ll find the new Codex Supplement: Black Templars. The launch edition of th ebook comes with an exclusive cover done up with some excellent John Blanche artwork from the halcyon days of 3rd edition Warhammer 40,000.

This 80-page codex supplement explains the history and background of the Emperor’s premier crusaders, as well as their (especially non-codex-compliant) command hierarchy and operational strength.

You better believe that it’s also bursting with rules, including bespoke Detachment Abilities, Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Litanies of the Devout, Relics, Crusade rules, special Characters, and six unique unit Datasheets.

The set also contains 28 datacards and a massive transfer sheet with 226 decals depicting the Black Templars’ Chapter iconography and heraldry. In short, it’s enough for you not to have to suffer the alien, the heretic, or the witch to live for a single moment longer.

All this will be due out soon, keep an eye here for a release date when it drops
