Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe series comes to a close in part two, and it just might win some fans back.

The first set of episodes were very divisive (you can check out part one on Netflix now). There was a lot of excitement pre-release and a lot of tense online discussions after. Some fans loved it for its exploration of other characters and some fans were let down by the fact that He-Man wasn’t a big part of it. I still think the way it was released and how the marketing was handled are where the failure occurred (you can read my review here).

Part two makes up for the lack of He-Man and it introduces a ton of other characters from the toy line.

Kinda sad there’s no Bonnie Tyler this time. I’ll be tuning in to see how writer Kevin Smith wraps up this epic story. Hopefully, folks that didn’t dig part one will give the conclusion a shot because it looks more like what they wanted – He-Man fighting the baddies.

The war for Eternia culminates in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION, an innovative and action-packed animated series that picks up where the iconic characters left off decades ago. After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes, and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.

It has an amazing voice cast including Kevin Conroy, Lena Headey, Stephen Root, Jason Mewes, Tony Todd, Alicia Silverstone, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sarah Michelle Gellar , Justin Long, Dave Rollins, and Mark Hamill.
