Tired of shooting foam darts at your friends and family? Try this card shooter that ejects cards at 20 MPH!

You’ve got a bunch of MtG land cards lying around, why not do something creative and potentially annoying with them? There are many takes on the card shooting gun that use different materials firing actions – foam and springs, wood and giant rubber bands, machined parts and a motor, pen and a standard rubber band, etc.

Brick Experiment Channel has built one out of LEGO bricks and Technic servos that can launch a card at 20 MPH. That’s gonna sting. Check out the build and test shots…

The build takes some ideas from an earlier experiment the Brick Experiment Channel did involving multiple Lego Technic servos and a drill. The first test goes so fast that the rubber tire on the wheel comes off and the axle gets so hot it warps.

Test two used a different tire and added some protection for the axle.

How fast can you rotate a Lego wheel using gears and a Lego motor or two? Last time we got to 2850 RPM (2950 with a drill). Now, let’s remove the tire that caused a lot of vibrations and try again. Also test two types of lubrication: canola vegetable oil and silicone spray.
