American Professional Wrestler Challenges Old Irish Man To Warhammer 40K

WWE Wrestler Shayna Baszler wants to teach Graham Norton a thing or two about Warhammer 40K, and it doesn’t sound pleasant.

If there’s one Wrestler that isn’t afraid to show their nerd flag it’s Xavier Woods… and the rest of The New Day. But when it comes to Warhammer 40,000 one wrestler has even them beat — that’s Shayna Baszler. She’s rocked her Dark Angel’s Pride in the ring before. Now she’s standing up to Graham Norton for poking fun at Superman’s hobby.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if she’s challenging him to a game or a match. In either case, I don’t think it goes well for Mr. Norton. Shayna is a certified badass in and out of the ring. And just because she plays Traitor Marines on the tabletop doesn’t mean she doesn’t have my full support in tabling Graham Norton in a game or match.

Graham, get ready to meet the tabletop one way or another.

In reality, this is just some good old-fashioned drama out of the ring. I would love to see Shayna actually play a game of 40k with Graham Norton. It’s always interesting to watch celebrities do things that are related to a hobby you care about.

But Norton has been getting backlash in regards to his attitude toward other people’s hobbies. Which, yeah, as a fan of Warhammer it was kind of hard to watch the interview part. The silver lining was Tom Holland asking to play and Henry Cavill saying “yeah” at the end.

On one hand, maybe Norton was hamming it up to act as a clueless person about the Warhammer hobby. On the other hand, Warhammer’s kind of a thing in the UK as there are LOTS of stores all over the place. It’s also kind of mainstream these days. Between the hobby itself, the books, the TV Shows, and all those freakin’ Video Games, it’s a THING that people are aware of.

A cursory Google search of “Warhammer” brings up tons of stuff to get you pointed in the right direction. And if you really want to fall down the rabbit hole, there’s the Lexicanum.

And to top it off, Norton was the one who brought it up Cavill’s hobby, not the other way around. Just sayin’.

But you probably knew that if you’re on our site.

I’d side with Shayna on this one.

Note: We know he’s Irish. He’s really not even that old. But it kinda sucks when people think two things that are very different are basically the same…like World of Warcraft and Warhammer, right Graham?
