Goatboy’s Warhammer 40K: Chaos Monster Mash

I keep looking at my 3 Lord Discordants and wondering – could they be good now? Let’s build an angry Chaos Monster Mash and find out.

With the game getting very much into an aggressive middle assault nature I wonder if having 3 of them on the tabletop with some Chaos Daemon friends to allow them to assault and charge could be pretty spicy.  Throw them into the current Flawless Host side of things to get exploding 6’s all day and maybe we could make an army of monsters that come in hot and heavy to steal all your candy.  Or it could just lose like a boss?

I have already talked about how I need to play 3 of them because why not right?  So that would get one detachment of jerks in there and most likely build something upon the back of 3 Patrols with 2 being CSM and 1 being a Daemon detachment to glue everything together while we can.  Some birdies seem to say Chaos ain’t coming for awhile so maybe something like this could come out and be used.  Or maybe it can lose half its games.  A lot of this build is working upon the Possessed army I wrote about last time but figured why not go Lord Discos and see what happens right?

Flawless Monster Mash Tactics

So this is pretty simple too it is a wave list trying to utilize units that could punch higher as needed.  I went with the Venomcrawlers as they are pretty cheap for a unit with a somewhat decent gun.  They shoot alright and with a Greater Possessed and Herald nearby they can be strength 10 which can be handy.  Also their claws are Damage 3 which seems pretty good when they get close.  If they only got to hit on 3’s we might see them but at 110 points they seem pretty cheap.

It just feels like an army designed to just hit things and exploding into methods of violence.  You will utilize the two big blobs to help move and control things as needed then the big hitters will come in hard to clear out options.  I don’t see a Dreadknight really liking getting hit by a Lord Disco snorting space dust.  Of course you could just get shot off the table too but hey Chaos Players can just dream can’t they?
