‘Hawkeye’ Review – One of Us

2 Minute Read
Jan 2 2022

The One of Us crew reviews the bro-filled last Marvel streaming show of 2021 – the holiday-themed Hawkeye.

It’s Christmas time in NYC and all poor Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) wants to do is get home and be with his wife and kids. But here comes this teenager, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), to mess up his holiday plans.

The Story of Hawkeye

During the process of trying to stop Russian thugs from stealing stuff from an expensive auction that her mother (Vera Farmiga) and soon to be step-father (Tony Dalton) are putting on, Kate ends up putting on Hawkeye’s old Ronin suit (think back to when he went a bit cuckoo during the blip and was out killing bad guys).

Unfortunately, the head of said Russian thugs (Alaqua Cox) saw Ronin kill her father, she’s kind of a badass, and she wants Ronin (who now she thinks is Kate) dead. Oh, and remember that cut scene from the end of Black Widow? Now, Yelena (Florence Pugh) is showing up out to kill Hawky as well. Things are tough on our former Avenger but at least his young protege has some pretty mad skills of her own.

Chris, Marco, and Beau take a look at this newest Disney Plus series and see if it hits the bullseye.
