The new Aeldari Shroud Runners are coming with the Eldritch Omens box. But what do they do? Let’s take a closer look!

It’s always exciting to see new models from the range get introduced and coming soon are the Aeldari Shroud Runners. This new fast moving unit has some tricks up their xenos sleeves to help keep them shooting and scooting across the battlefield.

“Shroud Runners are Raptor jetbikes ridden into battle by a pair of Aeldari Rangers. While the pilot uses the machine’s swiftness to easily outmanoeuvre enemies, the pillion rider enters a marksman’s trance so that they can harass their foes with pinpoint sniper fire, even while travelling at incredible speeds.”

That sounds really cool — but how does that translate to the tabletop? They actually have some rules to make it happen.

To start, they have the Swift Scouts rule which allows them to make a normal move at the start of the first battle round. This is a great way to get them out of trouble or into the thick of things. Snag objective, screen, threaten a flank — you get the idea. You’ve got options with that move.

As far as keeping themselves alive, those camo cloaks aren’t just for show. They do provide some in game benefits, too:

The Shroud Runners should be able to move fast enough to jump from cover to cover. This extra armor boost should also help keep them alive. And those Sniper rifles can do their jobs.

The new unit is making its first appearance in Eldritch Omens which is coming to pre-orders soon! Are you ready for this unit to come flying across the tabletop?
