Games Workshop has revealed 6 more Custodes Stratagems from the upcoming Codex. Let’s see what they are getting!

The Adeptus Custodes are on the way and that means a Codex-load of new stratagems to play with. Today, GW has shown off a handful of the new maneuvers and we’re taking a closer look at the Golden Boys of the Emperor’s new tricks.

Vigil Unending

This stratagem is basically your chance to get one last swing in before you have to removed the Custodes character off the tabletop. That can be pretty useful to get in that last bit of damage or tip the scales in the favor of the elite Custodes army.

Open the Vaults

“The Adeptus Custodes have access to many powerful Relics with which to slay the enemies of the God-Emperor, but sometimes it’s difficult to decide which one to take. So, why not take TWO? This Stratagem allows you to give a Relic to another Character in your army on top of the one that your Warlord can already take.”

This one is also pretty self-explanatory. The Adeptus Custodes have access to some really good relics — as they should! They defend the Emperor’s Golden Throne so you’d think they’d have some cool toys. So why not take an extra to battle to help you achieve victory. What types of toys can they bring? How about the Obliteratum which does exactly what you think it does:

Arcane Genetic Alchemy

This one is totally not the same thing as the Space Marine’s Transhuman Physiology. Nope. Totally different. I mean, look at the name:

Wisdom of the Moritoi

“Adeptus Custodes’ Venerable Contemptor Dreadnoughts contain some of the finest warriors that the Imperium has ever witnessed. Pass on their centuries of experience to other units in your army with this Stratagem.”

This one seems like it could be a good reason to bring in a Contemptor Dread so …sure? I’ve seen worse ways to spend a CP.

Talons of the Emperor

Don’t forget about the deadly ladies of the Sisters of Silence — they are also going to be an active part of this army. They even have their own stratagem you might want to remember to use:

Oh and it’s not just ONE stratagem, either:

Psyk-Out Grenade

So go for and ruin a psyker’s day with the Sisters of Silence!
