Futurama joins the list of animated shows to make a comeback.

Fans have something to celebrate. The show will have a twenty-episode run on Hulu in 2023 with Matt Groening at the helm.

Wait, there’s more!

Billy West and Katey Sagal are signed on to reprise their roles as Fry and Leela. John DiMaggio is in talks to return as Bender but hasn’t signed yet. Other ensemble players returning are Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman.

“It’s a true honor to announce the triumphant return of Futurama one more time before we get canceled abruptly again.” – Co-creator Matt Groening

No word on if this will link directly to the show’s last season on Comedy Central or if they’re going to be dropping in somewhere else on the universe’s timeline.

There’s been a revival of classic adult animation titles in the last couple of years thanks to streaming platforms. New Beavis & Butt-head, King of the Hill, The Ren & Stimpy Show, and Clone High reboots are on the way. MTV classic Daria is getting a spinoff that’s about Jodie.

To meet demand Beavis & Butt-head and King of the Hill creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have launched their own animation company called Bandera. They already have a dozen shows in the works.

I am rarely for reboots, but I’m totally for all of these. What adult geared animated series would you like to see come back? I’d love to get more Liquid Television (that’s not a YouTube exclusive).
