These “Bad Guys” aren’t exactly galaxy ending threats but we’d love to see them get new models anyways.

This one goes out to all the little guys out there trying to get out from the “Big Bad Guy’s” shadow and carve out a little piece of the Grimdark for yourself. You might not be as flashy as an Abaddon or Ghazghkull but we respect your hustle. And one thing that would really help is some new models. So let’s check out our list for 5 “Little Bads” we want to get new models for!

Mad Dok Grotsnik

According to the lore the reason Ghaz is so big and scary has a lot to do with this ork right here. Unfortunately for the Mad Dok, it appears that Ghaz took all the cool bits for himself and left this model with some serious hand-me-downs. Poor Old Mad Dok Grotsnik. Someone please make this Ork look as cool as he should look.

Deathleaper

Deathleaper needs a new model. It’s supposed to be one of the best and scariest hunters in the Tyranid Army. Able to sneak up to anything and take it out all Predator like. But you know how I know that Deathleaper needs a new model? Because if you see the model above and think “wait, what’s wrong with Deathleaper’s model” but didn’t realise that it’s actually JUST the Lictor model and not Deathleaper.

THAT’S Deathleaper.

Okay, it’s not — I just flipped the image. And that’s my point! If you don’t know what Deathleaper looks like he’s the actual model.

Don’t let the paint job fool you as it’s doing a LOT of work to make Deathleaper look a lot better than the model would have you believe.

Huron Blackheart

Here’s another Bad Guy who should look a lot more badass than how the model presents itself. The chainmail is so 80’s metal. And I know that Huron had an incident and that’s why his face looks like a melted crayon…but it’s very disappointing. Also, what’s up with that “totally not an” Iron Halo? It just seems disproportionate to his body. His custom Powerfist should also look better, too. He looks like he’s trying to play catch or something and he’s doing THAT wrong as well.

Huron Blackheart needs a new model worth of leading the Red Corsairs. Especially for a character with so much cool lore behind him.

Daemon Prince

Okay, this one might be a little controversial but I think the Plastic Daemon Prince kit is just…meh. While I do like that it’s got tons of options and really allows for players to customize the Daemon Prince to their liking it just seems overly cartoony. I still miss the old metal versions and wish GW had made the kit more like those:

Especially the “Generic” Daemon Prince. I always wanted that model but not hunched over — make it stand tall and proud (dare I say arrogant) like a Daemon Prince should be. I also really liked the Nurgle version and always wanted GW to do one for Tzeentch and Slaanesh as well. Instead we got the generic plastic kit which is serviceable. So…that’s a thing.

Imotekh the Stormlord

Before the Silent King returned to knock everyone’s socks off with that awesome model Imotekh was the big bad on the Necron block. I kinda feel bad for this character. He got demoted pretty hard. Maybe there’s a Necron Upgrade Protocol out there that the Stormlord can go through. Maybe the other Necron side characters, too. We could call it the “Prime-something” Protocol. I dunno…I feel like there’s something there. What do you think?
