WotC wants your help to shape the future of Krynn with a new survey for their latest Unearthed Arcana. Let them know what you really think.

Now that the Heroes of Krynn Unearthed Arcana has been out in the wild for a while now, WotC has opened up the floodgates of public opinion. Heroes of Krynn added Kenders, Lunar Magic Sorcerers, two powerful new backgrounds, and three different “feat trees.” Now’s your chance to let WotC know what you think. How? By filling out/in a short survey.

Do you think the Lunar Magic Sorcerer is too powerful because they can technically get 15 bonus spells (for the cost of sorcery points)? Do you think that more backgrounds should involve feats? Less? WotC wants to know what you think. We’ve seen before how these surveys can help shape the course of future content, for better and worse. RIP original Oath of Glory Paladin, though the new one is still pretty fun.

At any rate, now’s your chance to shape the future of Krynn. Details below.

Heroes of Krynn – Unearthed Arcana Survey

Take our latest Unearthed Arcana survey.

Last time, Unearthed Arcana explored character options from the Dragonlance setting. Now that you’ve had a chance to read and ponder these options, we’re ready for you to give us your feedback about them in the following survey. This survey will remain open for about two weeks.\

Need a refresher on what’s included in the Heroes of Krynn? Check out the original Unearthed Arcana here. We go into a little more detail about the Lunar Magic Sorcerer and the new backgrounds. But here’s a quick summary:

Kenders are a new race. This time, Wizards of the Coast seems to have their eyes on them actually being fun to play at the table. The old “kenders steal everything that isn’t nailed down and especially from the other party members” trope has fallen by the wayside in favor of a racial feature that’s a lot like a Bag of Tricks or Robe of Useful Items. Roll to see what item you have and go to town. Could be a lot of fun, especially in a game where other people are watching.

Lunar Magic Sorcery is a powerful new sorcerer subclass option. The biggest feature is the shifting list of bonus spells that change depending on the phase of the moon. You can decide which phase of the moon you’re in at the beginning of each day and when you activate certain abilities/spend sorcery points. They also have some cool features.

Initiate of High Sorcery and Squire of Solamnia are two backgrounds that come with bonus feats just for picking them. These backgrounds follow in the same tradition as the ones out of Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos but these go one step further. These backgrounds give you a feat at 1st level that qualifies you for later feats at 4th level. It’s a new realm of customization that WotC hasn’t really played with. 5E doesn’t have feat trees in the traditional sense, but this move adds them back in.

There are plenty more things – the Heroes of Krynn Unearthed Arcana gave WotC a lot of neat design tech to play around with. So take the survey, let them know what you think!
