Don’t worry it’s still 5th Edition storyteller engine, no d20’s needed. Check out the upcoming Hunter: The Reckoning 5th Edition Sourcebook.

Hunter: The Reckoning is one of my favorite books out of the World of Darkness. It let me be edgy and cool by not being an edgy and cool sexy vampire. Although honestly, that’s half the appeal of the World of Darkness. Because you’re either a furry, an edgelord, or you just want to dress like this.

Look, I get it. I didn’t used to, but I do now. Even when they’re unearthing what they do in the shadows, sexy vampires are still sexy.

But it’s also just as sexy to try and hunt down a Dracula, sexy or otherwise. Which is why Hunter: the Reckoning getting their 5th Edition Sourcebook is exciting. But before you spit out your absinthe and your deep violet pince-nez go flying off of your face, it’s not 5th Edition D&D, just the 5th Edition of the World of Darkness books.

Which brings Hunter: the Reckoning in line with Vampire: the Masquerade. Renegade Game Studios is working hard to pick up the shadowy world, and it looks like it’ll soon be paying off. Check it out.

Hunter: the Reckoning (5th Edition) – $55

“You saw what you shouldn’t have, the veil pulled back from the secret world and the monsters who prowl it. You chronicled the tragedies they wrought, these monsters, and the victims upon whom they preyed. You grasped the extent of their influence and witnessed the corruption of the organizations formed to keep them in check. And you vowed to do something about it. Tonight, you act. It’s time for a Reckoning.

In Hunter: The Reckoning, players take on the role of mere mortal humans instead of the fantastic Vampires of Vampire: The Masquerade. They’ve stumbled across something that’s alerted them to the world that hides just beneath the surface, and they feel compelled to try and make a difference.

The Hunter: The Reckoning Core Rulebook contains everything needed to create your Hunter and play, or to run a game where your players take on the encroaching darkness, driven to make a difference. The world is a scary place,  but there are people out there trying to help.”

If you pre-order now, you’ll get a PDF copy at no additional cost. Hunter: the Reckoning is currently expected to release Q2 2022.

Watch the shadows, Hunter!
