Neon Dynasty Final Alchemy Spoilers
First up, Painful Bond. Is getting card advantage worth it when these spells permanently gain “you lose 1 life” even if they’re exiled and brought back? Probably. Which is why certain decks will absolutely love Painful Bond.
Speaking of losing life to cast spells–the Consuming Oni will do exactly that. Slowly but surely your spells will cost you life to cast. But hey, who needs life when you’ve got a flying 6/6 on turn 4? It’s probably going to die by turn 6 anyway. So 3 life from random nonland cards feels like a small price to pay for the damage it could do.
