The Umbrella Academy Season 3 drops this summer. Check out the sibling rivalry-filled first preview!

In the first two seasons, the siblings stop not one but two apocalyptic events. They return home at the end of season two thinking that the timeline is finally fixed. Not so much. They’re greeted with an alternate universe that includes an alternate version of their team – the Sparrow Academy. The two clash in a violent face-off, but soon discover there are bigger concerns.

A new destructive power is creating chaos in the universe (which the siblings may have caused) and they’re all going to have to work together to make things right. Will they be able to fix this or is it more than a glitch in the timeline? We’ll find out this summer.

What We Know About The Umbrella Academy Season 3

With the number of characters expanding, this is bound to be the biggest season yet. Showrunner Steve Blackman has said that this season will focus on where they came from and how they got their powers. He spoke more about it during this summer’s Geeked Week.

“What we love is we’re doing a wilder, bigger, zanier season than ever before. I think our emotional stories between this dysfunctional family, we’re just building it up even more. There’s some very big surprises with the family this year, there’s some amazing changes that people will love to sort of dig into, and there’s a lot of growth for this family this year in a way that people are just not going to expect.”

The entire season will take place in a mysterious place called Hotel Oblivion (which is also the title of the third TPB). There’s a lot going on in the books at that point – more well intentioned mysteries hidden by Hargreeves that endanger the world, which I won’t get into for fear of spoiling the season.
