Games Workshop is previewing the Voidscarred Corsairs rules for Kill Team and these pirates are quite dashing. Check them out!

If you’re looking for a Kill Team that is really going to zip around the board then the Corsairs might be the perfect fit. These stylish pirate raiders have some impressive rules that allow them a degree of mobility we haven’t seen. Let’s dive into their kit and see what makes them tick!

“On the surface, the Aeldari Raiders ability is simple – each operative gets a free Dash action during their activation. Crucially, you can use this extra move at any point during that activation, which opens up a trove of possibilities for controlling the mission’s momentum.”

Keep in mind that their free dash can happen during their activation — not when it activates. You can use this ability to do the classic “move, shoot, move” to scoot out of cover, fire, and then get back into cover. Stay out of the enemies line of sight with this free dash.

You can also use this as a “double move” in order to surprise an opponent and snag a backfield objective. I think you get the idea. Having a free dash that can happen during the models activation is super handy. Cunning Corsair players are going to be able to really take advantage of this free dash.

There are also other ploys that can make you even faster. Aeldari Agility is a perfect example. That extra few inches can really add up and get your operatives out of harm’s way before the opponent can catch on.

Plunderers allows for some out of activation Dash actions, too. Who doesn’t want to get even more movement out of their Corsairs! Get your pirates into position to get those objectives and complete their mission even faster.
