Well, this little helper has some similarities with another IP Games Workshop has worked on. Take a look at the Rumor Engine!

Surely it can’t be Gollum from LotR, right? Games Workshop does the the rights to work on the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game but the Rumor Engine is typically for Warhammer related things. We’re probably not crossing the streams, right? Check this one out and let us know what you think in the comments.

“Spring is a time for new beginnings, and to celebrate this joyous occasion, the Rumour Engine has promised to show us something entirely new. By this point, we’ve learned not to trust its honeyed words, but we’ll never pass up the chance of a future release.”

So what could this creature be? Maybe we don’t start with the Sméagol impersonator. But take a look at what it’s perched on top of. That sure looks like a skull of some type. Reminds me of the Orruks:

They are pretty into skulls for armor. On the other hand, we’re also seeing some massive new bones showing up with the new Ghur Incarnate.

It’s quite possible this little fella is just a doodad on a fossil at this point, too. Having said all that, it’s still a mystery as to what faction he’s a part of. It’s also hard to tell the scale of this bit, too.

That’s where you come in! If you’ve got any ideas to share with the rest of the class we’d love to see them. That’s the fun of the Rumor Engines — drop us a line and let us know what you think it could be!
