‘Spirit Halloween’ Movie in the Works – Ok, Then
I’m not sure who asked for a horror movie set in a Spirit Halloween store, but we’re getting one.
According to Variety, this is a thing that is happening. We’ve had a couple of Five Nights at Freddy‘s inspired movies over the years. Might as well add a big-name chain store into the mix. It’s not quite a remake or a reboot, but it’s not exactly a novel horror premise. The synopsis for the Spirit Halloween movie…
“When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. They soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”
It’s a more family friendly take on the genre, so don’t go expecting another Willy’s Wonderland out of this. I’m sure it will take full advantage of it’s setting with plenty of product placement.

Spirit Halloween Cast & Details
The movie stars Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook. Joining them are Donavan Colan, Dylan Frankel, Jaiden Smith, and Marissa Reyes. It’s director David Poag’s feature debut. The production is done and its creators are aiming for October release.
