The Rumor Engine is here from Games Workshop and this one is certainly getting a grip on things. Take a look!

Tuesdays are that magical day of the week when we get a new Rumor Engine to behold. Well, most of the time. Today we’ve got an interesting looking situation going on. Before we really get into it and things gets spoiled you should take a look for yourself.

The Rumour Engine is back to normal, having accepted our offering of a shiny new Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze set to apologise for implying that the Warhammer Fest reveals were better* than its own images.

So what the heck is this thing? Well, we’ve obviously got a tool or a sort here being held up by an extended robotic arm/hand. And it kind of looks like that same robotic arm/hand is also being held up by a second hand? Honestly, I’m not sure what is happening.

Now, as far as whose hands are doing the holding I’ve got some theories. Adeptus Mechanicus comes to mind. I’m getting a very “over engineered” sort of a vibe going on.

The exo-arms. The hands. All the extra doodads. It sure would fit right in, wouldn’t it? But they aren’t the only ones…

The Kharadron Overlords also have random Exo-arms and have a variety of tools at their disposal. I’m not 100% convinced this is the best fit but it could work.

Not sure if the Rumor Engine is steampunk dwarven enough for KO.

There’s also the possibility that it’s Dark Mechanicus. Which would check the Ad Mech vibes but it would make it Chaosy instead. Just tossing that one out there.

Alright, if you’ve got a theory we’d like to read all about it in the comments! Drop us a line and let us know what you think this Rumor Engine could be.

What about the Leagues of Votann? Could be a stretch…
