World Eaters are getting a new codex and Chapter Approved is changing the game. More teasers ahead!

GW had a lot of announcements today but they sandwiched in some game-changing news. We’re getting a new Khorne-themed World Eaters Codex as well a new game changing Chapter Approved!

Chapter Approved War Zone Nephilim: Grand Tournament

There was some big news coming from the upcoming Chapter Approved book for 40k. First up, Command Points are getting rejiggered once again. You’ll start the game with less CP now. That means you’re lists building will also have to be modified and you won’t get to spend all 12 CP at the start of the game — because you won’t have 12 CP to spend.

To balance this out, you’ll no longer gain 1 CP a turn. We don’t know how many you’ll gain, but we’re expecting to see a boost for sure. This means you’ll have to budget your CPs a bit more before but you’ll want to spend them as the game progresses.

This book also includes secondary objectives for each army in the game — that includes Chaos Daemons and Astra Militarum! Some of these secondaries are new and some are reworks. You could consider this one a balance pass for sure.

Finally, the last big piece of news about the upcoming Chapter Approved is that there won’t be any points in the book. That’s because they are going to be released for FREE online! This is great news for 40k as it means the points will be available and accurate for everyone in the same spot.

Codex: World Eaters Announced

There’s a new Chaos Space Marine codex coming. And fans will notice something missing. The World Eaters Legion isn’t going to be in the new book. That’s because they are getting their own codex! GW didn’t show off the cover or any new units — but those are coming. They did show off some of the new sculpts for the Chain Axes:

And yes that means we’re finally getting new Khorne Berzerker models!!!!

We can finally retire the bunny ears. Soon!

All the info can be seen in this video, too:

In the meantime expect a White Dwarf Update for them some time, too.
