There’s something stirring in the heart of Ghur, and you’ll want to be there for it.

The brand new Warcry big box, Heart of Ghur, is on the way soon, and it’s chock full of awesome stuff. Whether you’re a casual collector, a hardcore warband leader, or even just a terrain junky, this box has something for you. Moving out of the tumultuous Eightpoints into the deadly Realm of Beasts, the new box brings the tiny-scale battles of Warcry into the greater Realms. Here are three reasons you’ll definitely want to add this box to your collection.

New Warbands

Heart of Ghur brings even more warriors into the fray with two brand new warbands; the noxious Rotmire Creed, followers of an entity called the Leech Lord, and the fiery Horns of Hashut. Eagle-eyed fans of Warhammer Fantasy may recognize that name as the bull-headed god of the Chaos Dwarves, and the warband is resplendent in taurine (not the chemical) iconography. Who will triumph as forge-hot hammers clash against the toxins of the swamp? That’s up to you and your playgroup to decide. Either way, both kits are practically dripping with detail and will make an awesome addition to any miniature collection.

Amazing Scenery

A far cry from the urban industrial landscape of the Eightpoints, the setting of the Gnarlwood is a lot more like spooky Endor (though the Stormtroopers may tell you Endor was spooky enough). Giant skulls, ancient ruins, and bamboo rope bridges make up the terrain, all surrounding the twisted trees that have reclaimed the area. Even if you don’t play Warcry, these are awesome pieces that will look great on any table. If you have a home setup, you’ll definitely want to add these pieces to your collection, especially if you are using the new GHB rules to battle in the wilds of Ghur.

Incredible Start

While this is a great buy for experienced players and fans, Heart of Ghur is an even better purchase for those who are new to the game. It gives you everything you need to play, two awesome starter forces, and plenty of tokens to track your progress on the field. If you’ve ever been curious about small-scale wargaming, this box is the perfect place to start.
