There was a Citadel Colour App? And it just got a huge update? Well, colour us interested! What’s new with the App update? Let’s find out.

If you weren’t aware Games Workshop had a Citadel Colour App on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. For a long time it was there to help you keep track of your paint collection and you could get some other tips and goodies in the app. I remember poking at it for a bit but I’m pretty sure I deleted it from my phone at some point. Well, GW has updated it and brought it back with some new features that sound like they could be even more useful than before.

“The app can help you on your painting journey, creating miniatures you can be proud of regardless of your skill level. It’s your essential painting companion, a pocket guide to the Citadel Colour painting system.”

So what has been updated and why should I download this app? For starters, GW just updated their own paint line with a bunch of new paints, shades, and the new White Scar Spray primer. All of those changes are now added and updated in the app. You can still use the app to track your own paint collection, too. There’s also a search function to help with that tracking process. Now if only that search function would help me to find the actual pot of paint…

You can also search for example models in the app now as well. These will help you find the paints you need and give you access to painting guides. There’s over 300 painting guides to check out, too! And you know how good the GW painting tutorials are. If you’re brand new they are great to follow along with. And even veteran painters will be able to glean something from those videos.

Browsing painting tutorials and managing your paint collection are both handy resources. This App is designed for painters of all skill levels so it’s worth poking at. And it’s FREE. No subscription required and no legendary gems to pay-2-win for. Just download it and start using it.

I do remember logging a bunch of paints in the app before…now I’ve just got to sit down and paint the models.
