GW has officially unveiled the next Primarch of the World Eaters. Angron is coming to 40K. He’s amazing!

Before we start in on this one, a word on what is going on. We’ve had a “potato camera” image of Angron breaking over the last day. You can see all the details on that and the other miniatures discovered here. Onto the official GW unveiling.

Meet Angron

Mini Details

It’s a big one, on par with the other Daemon Primarchs, and Be’lakor. And Angron is dripping with all the insane rage, and Khornate detail you would expect from the Emperor’s most mistreated son.

Loving the pointy tongue!

I like the laser eye on the center skull. Must have been someone important.

Behold the Angron butt-tail!

That is certainly a great Angron miniature. He’s got the World-Eaters logo on his pauldron, the Black Blade, the butcher’s Nails /dreadlock hairdo, and the wings. He’s got a World Eater’s “Halo” thing going on above his head. You have Khorne symbols all over the place, and more skulls and chains than you would ever need. The only thing missing is a dead Primaris Lieutenant, but then again, we can’t see the back side of Angron’s base. Maybe…

Here are some other impressions and miniatures of Angron over the years, to give this miniature context.

Thoughts

Overall, this is a big deal. After years, we finally see the next Primarch being added to the game. There has been talk of Angron’s miniatures being on ice for over 2 years, with occasional descriptions of it showing up every few months. It looks like all of that has panned out.

We now have 4 Primarchs in the game, and it’s clear that another Loyalist should be returning, probably in 10th Edition. Also let’s sing the songs of lament for poor, poor arrogant Fulgrim. It looks like he will certainly be the last of the Daemon Primarchs to arrive. While we are savoring the Angron reveal, I’ll let you all decide who has the best Primarch miniature so far:

Who’s your favorite?
