It’s a bittersweet day for the old Khorne Berzerkers as they are heading off into retirement. But at least their replacements are ready for action.

Thank KHORNE! The old Khorne Berzerkers are finally getting replaced with a fancy updated plastic kit. We knew this was coming from other previews but this is really an exciting time for fans of the Blood God. While I have fond memories of Berzerkers I’m really excited to see some replacements on the way.

“The current Khorne Berzerkers are one of the longest-serving plastic kits of the 41st Millennium – a genuine classic that has spent two decades out on the battlefield, earning them a nice retirement in Khorne’s Domain on the soothing banks of the Rivers of Blood.”

Yep. These models are finally getting to rest. I mean, they are over two decades old — you could take them to a bar in the US and they could legally drink. Ya know, if they could actually drink. Anyhow, I’ll be sure to pour one out for these guys later. But their replacements are coming…

YES!!! While fans of Khorne Berzerkers have been converting them from AoS and Chaos Space Marines for years it’s nice to see them get an official update. It’s a better picture than that potato image from earlier, too:

But you can see, there’s quite a few more sculpts coming soon (and probably Astra Militarum models, too). We’re pumped! Is it too early to start planning a new Khorne Army? Maybe…or maybe not. I am going to need to stock-up on red paint. And something for those metals…And blood effects. Yeah. Lots of blood effects paint.

So long old Khorne Berzerkers. You served us well and we’re glad to have known you. have fun in retirement. And to the new guys, you have a long legacy to live up to — I hope you’re prepared!
