The Leagues of Votann are bringing in the Big Guns with the brand new Brôkhyr Thunderkyn! Check out these new exo-frame wearing blaster-boys.

We were wondering if the Leagues of Votann were going to have more exo-suit wearing units. Turns out the answer is “sort of” with the new Brôkhyr Thunderkyn. They are equipped with exo-frames that allow them to carry some massive ordinance. Take a look for yourself.

“The powerful suits they wear are adapted from rugged engineering rigs and allow the Brôkhyr Thunderkyn to heft the heaviest man-portable weapons the Leagues can muster with ease. Hordes of enemies fall before bolt cannon salvos, while heavy infantry find themselves pierced by the unstoppable lances of SP conversion beamers. “

Alright, these exo-frames are pretty cool! They aren’t as “clean” as some of the other exo-armor that the Leagues of Votann wear. They certainly look more rough and raw comparatively. But, they seem functional and allow the League members to do exactly what they want: carry and use some really big guns. They kind of remind me of T’au Broadsides. I wonder if they are going to have a similar functionality. Looking at them, it’s hard not to see some resembalances:

That said, I don’t think the Thunderkyn are going to have SMS attached so maybe we won’t have Gundam levels of missiles flying out of them. That said, they sound like they might still unleash a hail of cannonfire either way. And those guns they are using? They’ve got a pair of options that GW has teased so far. Bolt Cannons and SP Conversion Beamers!

That kind of makes sense as they weapons are all Imperial-adjacent. Close enough to the Imperial versions but just ever-so slightly different. I’m curious what sorts of damage output those SP Conversion Beamers are going to put out!

The Leagues of Votann’s miniature line is really shaping up! I can’t wait to see what else GW has planned for them. We still haven’t seen any special characters. And you know they probably have a few more kits for vehicles, right? What’s next? A tank? A Lord of War? A Flyer? More infantry? So many options…

What do you think of the Brôkhyr Thunderkyn?
