There’s a brand new trailer for Black Adam fresh off the griddle and it’s electrifying. Take a closer look at Adam and the Justice Society.

Things have been a little rocky for DC movie announcements lately. But thanks to a new series of posters and a brand new Black Adam trailer, it looks like we’re getting an action-packed good time featuring a lineup of some of DC’s best heroes – and villains. And by villains, I’m of course talking about Amanda Waller…

Black Adam Trailer

The trailer has some more stunning, clearer looks at Atom Smasher, Cyclone, Doctor Fate, and Hawkman in action. Of course, there are plenty of big explosions – and Teth Adam walking away from them in true cool-guy fashion – but this film is clearly going to be a battle for the Black Adam’s soul.

Pierce Brosnan’s character Kent Nelson is trying to guide Teth Adam toward that hero life, while the other members of his team are trying to manage the violence he’s clearly wreaking in his effort to get revenge for the death of his son. And I can’t imagine Amanda Waller has anything productive to say.

It will be really interesting to see her involvement with the Justice Society and to put this movie on a timeline with Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad.

Black Adam Details and Cast

The cast is led by Dwayne Johnson as Teth Adam/Black Adam. Other JLA members include Noah Centineo as Albert Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Khufu/Carter Hall/Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate. Plus Sarah Shahi as Professor Adrianna Tomaz and Djimon Hounsou as Shazam. The project is being helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra (The Commuter, The Shallows).

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods — and imprisoned just as quickly — Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
