Not only would Sherlock play, but the actor has an idea of which Warhammer 40k army the famous detective would choose.

Cavill has been in the news recently – returning as Superman, leaving The Witcher. The big news this week is his starring role in the new chapter of Enola Holmes’ adventures, which is out today. During an interview about the upcoming Netflix movie where he plays Sherlock Holmes, the topic veered to 40k. Cavill was asked if Sherlock would play and which army he would pick.

Which Warhammer 40k Would Sherlock Play?

“I’m just gonna have to go with the cheap answer and say Custodes because it’s a low body count that really requires some finesse. You’ve got to use each piece properly and carefully.”

Not entirely surprised by his picking the transhuman warriors that guard the Emperor. Cavill is a fan, after all. And they are a fitting army for Sherlock – the elite of the elite are a great match for the observant and calculating detective.

At some point, someone needs to set a mic in front of him and let him talk about the hobby – what he loves about it, what he thinks of new releases, and what his favorite lore is. Maybe a chat about what the heck is up with squats. Whatever he’d like to say about something he clearly enjoys. Ask him about any plans to star in a 40k-related movie/show. I think we’d all love to hear it.

Enola Holmes 2

The second installment of the story is out today. Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter return for a new mystery in Enola Holmes 2. The hunt for a missing girl uncovers a conspiracy theory that may require the whole family to solve. I found the first one (available on Netflix) fun and a great time. I have a feeling the sequel, based on Nancy Springer’s books, will be more of that.

The sequel is streaming on Netflix now.
