It’s time for direct damage and lots of fire, as we dig into the Brothers’ War Red Spoilers. Fiery doom awaits!

Nothing says Red mana like doing damage directly to a target creature or opponent. And in Brothers’ War, Red has some pretty significant tools in their deck to do exactly that. They also have a surprising number of dragons and dragon accessories, as you’ll see.

All in all, the red deck leans a little more into Mishra’s side of the story while playing up the devastation that the conflict between the two brothers wreaked upon Dominaria.

Brothers’ War Red Spoilers

In fact you can see two moments captured in the first three cards of the Red list. Arms Race reflects the mounting tensions leading up to a Bitter Reunion at a peace summit that resulted in Brotherhood’s End. And out of that, you get the ability to cast artifacts out of your hand for a single turn (which works well with cards that fuel a sacrifice engine), as well as haste for your whole side for a turn, and a big blow up damage spell.

Cards like Draconic Destiny and the Fall of Kroog show how Dominaria’s mighty dragons got drawn into the fray, giving you pumpable creatures and damage.

We also get an excellent goblin in the form of the Goblin Blast-Runner, clever enough to drop the bomb they carry. And Mishra makes his first appearance here, as an Excavation Prodigy, who can generate mana when you discard artifacts. Mishra’s Command, on the other hand, lets you pick from damage, a powerful boost, or cycling hands. All of which are powerful, flexible tools in Red’s hands.

There’s a lot of Mishra in this side of the color pie. Mishra brings raw strength and domination to counter his brothers’ machinations. There’s also some great removal and ramp spells.

And Red also gives us a glimpse at the devastation the Brothers’ War carries with it. Alongside that, we get our “red artifacts” including the Fallaji Dragon Engine, which is a Dragon and can show up weaker, sooner as a red Prototype.

Alongside that Red has a surprising number of of big, powerful artifact creatures, all drafted at Mishra’s Research Desk, which is a great way of maintaining card advantage while also keeping your hand size under control.
