I wonder who this Tarot Card from the Arks of Omen could be referring to. There’s a couple of Hounds of War that come to mind.

The Arks of Omen Teasers have felt like seperate things up until last week when we were left on a bit of a cliffhanger. But this week’s tease seems to answer that ominous fortune telling.

Here’s the dialogue from this week’s teaser. It’s starting to make sense.

Abominus

Hound

A Great Beast

Unliving, but undying

Well now. If you pair this with last week’s “poem” you get the following:

The Great Hoste

A blood red tide of singing blades

Hound

A Great Beast

It claws at reality’s gate

Which, again, is starting to make a lot of sense. The reference is pretty clear to me as last week was talking about a great host of “blood red” and it being led by “Hound” this week. The great host is likely the World Eaters who’s chain-axes and swords “sing” in their own unique chorus. The Hound is a clear reference to Angron who is neither really alive or dead thanks to being a Daemon Prince Primarch. On top of that, he was banished by the Grey Knights back to the Warp during the First War for Armageddon for one hundred years and a day. So he could be “clawing at reality’s gate” in the sense that he’s wanting to get back to real space.

One last clue is in the title. Hound is another reference to the World Eaters in particular. Do you know what their Legion was called before Angron was discovered and legion was subsequently renamed to the World Eaters? They Were known as the War Hounds.
