We’ve had 7 weeks of Arks of Omen teasers and omens. So what do we know so far?

Games Workshop kicked off the Arks of Omen teasers 7 weeks ago and it’s kind of crazy to think that much time has already flown by. Today, we’re going to compile all the teasers we’ve gotten so far into one big narrative thread and stack that against what we know is coming.

I – Galaxy

The Galaxy burns in the fire of ambition.

Another round of the great game begins.

II – The Despoiler

Arks of Omen – What We Know So Far

Alright, those are all the cards we’ve been dealt so far. Now, here’s what we know is coming thanks to the Games Workshop Previews:

We’ve got Arks of Omen books for Abaddon, Angron, Vashtorr, and a currently unnamed but confirmed Xenos-themed book. We don’t know how many weeks Games Workshop is planning to tease out these Arks of Omen cards but we’re guessing that the teasers will lead directly into the release of the Abaddon book.

Compared with the dialogue from the various Arks of Omen teasers, we can logically group a few of these together.

Galaxy, Despoiler, and The Hulk are probably all references to Abaddon and his plan to use the Space Hulks in some way. We know that because, 1) he wants to let the Galaxy burn 2) he’s Abaddon, The Despoiler, and 3) The Hulk is a reference to Space Hulks — which are what the Arks of Omen are. That’s all pretty cut and dry.

Then we get this weird Silver Key entry. Perhaps that’s also a part of Abaddon’s mini-arc here but it’s still unclear what that is a reference to. Perhaps we’ll find out when the book actually drops — got keep the mystery up, right?

Entries V and VI are clearly a reference to the World Eaters/Khorne Daemons and Daemon Prince Primarch Angron. In fact, we pointed out how those two sections fit together in that weird poem-style:

A blood red tide of singing blades

Led by…

A Great Beast

Unliving, but undying

It claws at reality’s gate

And that lines up really well with the Angron book on the way. We also have the VII teaser which is A Shattered World. This one is probably a reference to Cadia. That said, what if it’s not? Are we going to see another world destroyed in the wake of the Arks of Omen? I wouldn’t be surprised on account of the key characters we have involved right now. And there has got to be some major event to “birth” Vashtorr into existence, right? A Demi-God of the Warp is going to make an entrance.
