The 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards have crowned this year’s Anime of the Year and it is… (drumroll please…)

The 2023 Anime Awards took place over the weekend in Tokyo, Japan. Nominees were announced in mid-January with voting running for about a week. But we have been waiting since then to hear which shows are being recognized for excellence in the genre. So which show had the best opening song, and who was crowned Anime of the Year? Let’s just take a look at all of our big winners.

And there you have it! Cyberpunk: Edgerunners beat out some really tough competition for Anime of the Year. But their big win was definitely well-deserved. Many of my personal favorite animes were recognized this year, and hopefully, some of yours were too.
