Warhammer 40K Next Week: Arks Of Omen, Farsight Edition Plus Boarding Patrols For Xenos

Mar 19 2023

Step on up folks, it’s a big boarding patrol pre-order next week. Starting with the new Arks of Omen for Farsight and much more.

Though Vashtorr the Arkifane is a new big, bad daemon ex machina, there’s more than just Chaos and the Imperium in the galaxy, though the Games Workshop release schedule might have you believing otherwise.

Case in point, this week, the fight comes to the world of Arthas Moloch, where Commander Farsight is duking it out with the Orks in the War of Dakka. All this and more, coming next week!

First things first, the new Arks of Omen: Farsight book, which not only “advances the narrative” of the ongoing metaplot in 40K, but also adds even more rules for Boarding Actions. There are Dark Depths missions, and, more excitingly, multiplayer game options for three or four players.

Teams, free-for-all, you name it, it’s there. And alongside that, there are plenty of rules for new Boarding Patrols, including T’au Empire, Asuryani and Ynnari, Drukhari, Harlequins, and Adepta Sororitas Boarding Patrols.

In fact there are plenty of Xenos Boarding Patrols coming this week, along with the Grey Knights, who are kind of like the xenos of the Adeptus Astartes if you think about it. Or if you don’t. Especially if you don’t.

Boarding Patrols – Xenos and Grey Knights

First up the T’au Empire Boarding Patrol, which debuts the amazing new Commander Farsight model. Wielding an ancient magical sword that grants him extended life, Farsight leads the charge alongside an assault force of 3 Crisis Suits, 10 Fire Warriors, and 8 drones.

Meanwhile in Boarding Patrol Orks, you’ll find an all-new Snikrot model, leading 5 Flash Gitz, 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, 10 Kommandos, a Kommando Grot, and a Bomb Squig to round everything out.

The Aeldari Boarding Patrol box features Jain Zar as well as 5 Howling Banshees and 20 Corsair Voidscarred.

While the Drukhari Boarding Patrol brings the pain and the spikes and even some more pain in the form of a Succubus and 5 Incubi, accompanied by 20 Wyches.

Then there are the Necrons, whose Boarding Patrol box nets you 10 Lychguard, 10 Necron Warriors, 3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms, and 3 Ophydian Destroyers. No leader, but that’s because Necrons are expected to self-manage.

Finally the Grey Knights, armored up in Terminators backed by psychic powers, this Boarding Patrol is both hammer and anvil. In it you’ll find good ol’ Castellan “Russel” Crowe, as well as 5 Brotherhood Terminators and 10 Strike Squad Grey Knights.

All this, next week!
