Warhammer Fest 2023 has a lot in store for the Age of Sigmar. And it all kicks off with a bold new campaign, Dawnbringers.

A new campaign begins for the Age of Sigmar, and with it come four horsemen of the Heralds of Provenance. Dawnbringers follows the story of a new Crusade as it sets out from the Twin-Tailed City. But it’s a campaign that touches on all four Grand Armies.

Let’s take a closer look.

Age of Sigmar – Dawnbringers Book 1: Harbingers

Dawnbringers Book I: Harbingers kicks off the series, which will offer support for all four Grand Alliances. It introduces the colossal Twin-Tailed Crusade, a multi-pronged expedition that’s preparing to depart across Aqshy and Ghyran at once. This campaign series will follow both crusades – and their respective fates – alongside new background information and rules for your Warhammer Age of Sigmar games.

Inside the new book you’ll find rules and lore, and more importantly, you’ll find the four titular Harbingers.

Each of these Heralds leads their own Regiment of Renown full of character and special abilities ready to enhance your crusade. Like Phlugoth the Miser, Herald of Decay:

These pestilent prophets divine Nurgle’s will from the spread of disease through bodies and societies alike. Dour and humourless – in contrast to the Grandfather’s usual joyful entourage – they lead Rotbringer cohorts known as Shudderhoods, joylessly committed to undertaking unholy labours in the Plague Lord’s name.

Then there’s Sir Jerrion and the Marrowscroll Heralds:

The Marrowscroll Heralds are inspiring warrior-envoys, draped in fine robes and bearing elegantly-worded missives. At least, that’s how they see themselves. But they’re actually gristle-chewing ghouls who follow a mysterious “higher power”.

Meanwhile Fjori here leads the Grimhold Exiles. These are the sole survivors of Magmaholds, and they carry weapons imbued with the power of the Zharrkhul, a legendary master flame that sprung about at the moment of Grimnir’s death.

Finally there’s Braggit Big-Talka, leader of the Rabble-Rowsas. These Gloomspite Gitz wade into battle armed with the gift of gab. And swarms of Bat Squigs.

All of these forces collide in Dawnbringers Book 1: Harbinger
