The hunt for heresy is ever ongoing in the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, and it heats up in Ashes of Faith.

Next week’s pre-orders are all about heresy as an Inquisitorial Kill Team takes on a Chaos Cult in theĀ Kill Team: Ashes of Faith boxed set. With 40 new miniatures and rules, there’s a ton to dive into with the box.

But modern heresy isn’t the only heresy on the agenda for next week’s pre-orders. The Horus Heresy brings a lot to the table next week too with the first narrative expansion for the Age of Darkness, and several tanks. Cap that off with Made-to-Order Marines and you’ve got a great spate of pre-orders.

Kill Team: Ashes of Faith

Kill Team is really popping off these days. And nowhere do you really get a look at what you can do with the ruleset than in the campaign play. Ashes of Faith is a narrative campaign that focuses on an Inquisitorial Kill Team taking on a malignant Chaos Cult. Who will win?

Chaos? The Imperium? Odds are good it’s the second one. Especially since you get just a bunch of Chaos Cultists and some spawn while the Inquisitors have various Agents including seven new “dual-build miniatures” which allow for a mix of “hyper-talented weirdos.”

Still, you never know. Chaos miiiiiight could win. But probably not though.

Horus Heresy – Siege of Cthonia

Because Chaos never wins. Even when they win, they lose. As is exemplified in the Horus Heresy. Yeah they made it all the way to Holy Terra, but their greatest champion was utterly unmade. And the Siege of Cthonia shows off a massive battle between the Sons of Horus and the Imperial Fists. Of those two, the Imperial Fists are still around, while the Sons of Horus got renamed and reabsorbed into Abaddon’s Black Legion.

And we all know how that goes.

Still, the new supplement has a ton going for it, including rules for Zone Mortalis battles, new Inductii options, tank commanders, and the Infernus Abomination. And of course, the Vindicator Siege Tank.

With a demolisher cannon big enough to shoot an Astartes out of, this plastic kit will bring heavy firepower to any battlefield.

Made to Order Marines

Finally, a swath of Made to Order Marines will go up next week, featuring “classic miniatures from years past.” Like the Primaris Company Champion. That classic model from years ago. Still this made to order event is your chance to get your hands on the previously event-exclusive model, along with several others.

All this, next week!
