We’re back on a Tuesday with the Rumor Engine and this one bringing in a resupply of fresh ordnance to fire off!

The Rumor Engine returns again with a little nod to last weeks uh…malfunction in the meta-narrative. Anyhow, we’ve got a new bit to look at and guess what it could be! So let’s get into it.

“Weird, we don’t remember putting out a Rumour Engine post last week, but we were quite distracted with the shiny new Leviathan boxed set that launched last weekend. Amuse yourselves with this image while we dig through all of these awesome miniatures… did you know the Screamer-killer used to be the regular Carnifex back in the day? Wild.”

Rumor Engine: Ammo Crate

Well as you can tell from the meta-narrative, the person managing the Rumor Engine “doesn’t know” what happened to last week’s image. More specifically, they don’t remember running it. But that’s okay. I’m sure this story will unfold more over time. For now, we’ve got that new image to chew on. Although this one seems pretty obvious…

This looks a whole lot like one of the ammo crates you might see from the Astra Militarum. We got a look at these with the Field Ordnance Battery box. I’ll be honest, these crates are some of my favorite little doodads for basing as well. Combine that with the sandbags that are also on the kit and I think  we might have a winner.

That said, we already have the Field Ordnance Battery kit…this must be from another Astra Militarum Kit, right? Or what else could it be? Perhaps some more basing for a model or weapon team? Hmm…there’s lots of possibilities with this one.
