Launch a broadside and become the one and only Pirate Legend in Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends, available now!

Steamforged Games has released a new board game based on the hugely popular open-sea pirate simulator video game, Sea of Thieves. Steamforged Games have also brought us games like the Horizon Zero Dawn board game, the Dark Souls RPG, the Resident Evil 3 board game, and plenty more. Their library is extensive and impressive, and this new Sea of Thieves game is no exception.

The Sea of Thieves is Calling

In Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends, players compete to earn reputation to become the Pirate Legend. Earn reputation by completing voyages, defeating foes, and, of course, collecting treasure! Players begin with the lowly sloop but can upgrade up to a mighty gallon. They’ll visit outposts to upgrade their ship, hire crew, and make repairs. Could even be from their latest encounters with the Kraken or Megalodon.

Of course, everyone else is doing the same thing, so players are sure to butt heads along the way. And by butt heads, I mean fire cannons. There can only be one Pirate Legend so make sure it’s you. There is no one route to victory so let the winds carry you where they may!

“We were extremely excited to have been entrusted with creating the Sea of Thieves tabletop game,” says Lead Designer, Sherwin Matthews. “Several of our team are huge fans of the video game, and it’s been a wonderful and rewarding world to explore for a tabletop adaptation. I’m thrilled that we’ve created a new way for fans to enjoy their favourite game.”

Sea of Thieves itself is a shared-world game where players crew a ship together and sail the open seas. They’ll search for lost treasure, hunt the undead, defeat giant monsters, and the bravest can even siege fortresses. So grab a bottle of rum (Capri Sun also works), don a tricorne, and play it yourself.
