Games Workshop is teasing even more terrain coming to Legions Imperialis and we want all of it. The more terrain the merrier!

The first tease that GW had more terrain planned for Legions Imperialis was in the FAQ they presented. They confirmed that yes, new terrain is on the way.

Well today we’re getting a better look at the terrain with some interesting new things that have been spotted.

Here’s a better look at the battlefield. The first thing we’re noticing is the game boards. Those are either custom boards that the studio made to play on (which they have done in the past) or those are new terrain tiles that are going to be in production. I’m sure hoping for a playset of those! They look like they are inline with the bases of the miniatures as GW is going with a city sidewalk look for many of the bases in Legions Imperialis.

If they AREN’T going to be a set of terrain tiles I really hope that GW does a tutorial on how they made them — at least give us the dimensions for the streets and city blocks!

The next thing is the blown up buildings. Those look a whole lot like the Adeptus Titanicus building in scale (obviously) but they have some battle damage. This next shot shows how tall they can be, too:

That’s a four story building in the background. Those are Knights and not a Warhound Titan in the foreground but that still looks like an impressive scale shot of these miniatures. And you can also tell how modular these blown-up buildings are going to be as well. Plus, the floors inside are wide enough to fit a stand of Space Marines on them.

This is another really cool shot with some barricades in the way. I really hope those are going to be mass produced and aren’t just custom bits they printed up. Again, GW, if those ARE custom at least release the dimensions for the rest of us!

Games Workshop supported Adeptus Titanicus with a TON of really cool terrain kits. I’m looking forward to seeing this range expand in the future. Also, If you are interested in Legions Imperialis and want to start preparing for your games now then you might want to scour your FLGS for some of these Adeptus Titanicus terrain kits. It’s all the same epic scale so they will work in both games.

Good luck snagging these terrain kits…

I can’t wait to get my hands on an Legions Imperialis army and get some terrain to match.
