More Wilds of Eldraine spoilers dropped over the weekend. See if your faerie tale favorites made an appearance.

Things are heating up for the Wilds of Eldraine. A new batch of spoilers from the weekend shows off some spicy new power to add to the set. Alongside a surprising number of rats. Rat decks are going to be back, in a big way.

Which is fine by me. Time to go fish out all those Nezumi from Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. And then really kick things up a notch. But for now, let’s just take a look at the new spoilers.

Wilds of Eldraine – Weekend Spoilers

Right away we jump into the rats. Harried Spearguard is a 1/1 with Haste who turns into a 1/1 Rat token. Which is extremely aggressive early-game tech. Especially since there are plenty of cards that pump rats all the way up. And plenty of ways to play with rat tokens in particular.

Tangled Colony is another way to keep the rat ship afloat, even though you’ll have a hard time blocking with them. Who needs to block when you’re attacking so much you turn everything else on your board into rats?

We close out the rat portion of this preview with the Twisted Sewer-Witch. She creates more rats and then creates Wicked Roles that make your Rats even bigger and better. So by the time she comes out, you could have a veritable swarm of rats ready to remove the target player from the game.

In less rat-focused spoilers, we get Solitary Sanctuary. This enchantment lets you lock down a creature and then if you can keep tapping creatures that an opponent control, your own dudes get even bigger. Not bad.

A Tale for the Ages doesn’t have any rats, but it’s a +2/+2 for any Enchanted creatures you control. So there’s some fun combo potential here.

And lastly, we have my favorite of the Wilds of Eldraine weekend spoilers, the Belligerent of the Ball.

Belligerent of the Ball is my new favorite phrase, and I’ll be using it every chance I get.
