This year marks 50 years of the most creative and disgusting use of pea soup on screen ever, The Exorcist. Now in 4k Ultra HD.

Fifty years ago this fall, the most terrifying horror movie in history arrived in theaters. The Exorcist, based on the best-selling book by William Peter Blatty, shocked audiences around the world. Its special effects and combined performance of Linda Blair and Mercedes McCambridge as Regan MacNeil convinced many what they were seeing on screen was real.

To celebrate the iconic horror movie, you can pick it up in remastered 4K. (Along with some other possibly demonically possessed stuff.)

The Exorcist 50th Anniversary Edition

Watch the iconic horror movie remastered in 4K Ultra UHD. The anniversary edition also includes a ton of bonus features, like an introduction by William Friedkin (who sadly passed last week), commentary tracks, interviews, trailers, and TV spots from the movie’s release. You’ll also be able to dig into behind-the-scenes content, including “Beyond Comprehension: William Peter Blatty’s The Exorcist,” “Raising Hell: Filming The Exorcist,” and more.

This is a worthy upgrade for horror fans.

The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty

Go straight to the source with Blatty’s terrifying novel inspired by a child’s demonic possession in the 1940s. The novel spent fifty-seven weeks on the New York Times bestseller list before being adapted for the screen.

Purposefully raw and profane, The Exorcist still has the extraordinary ability to disturb readers and cause them to forget that it is “just a story.” Published here in this beautiful fortieth anniversary edition, it remains an unforgettable reading experience and will continue to shock and frighten a new generation of readers.

Regan Blanket

Curl up with Regan, Pazuzu, and Father Merrin while you watch the movie or read the book. This blanket is silky smooth on one side and has fuzzy fleece on the other to keep you snugly warm. It comes in two sizes, and while it is not safe from demonic possession, it is machine washable.

Mug

Is your daily coffee lacking that hellfire and brimstone flavor? Are your mornings not filled with enough horror? This 11oz mug might help. It’s so evil it has to be hand washed.

Let’s Call the Exorcist

This social deduction party game for 4 to 8 players features the charming retro art of Steven Rhodes. It plays in 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how tricky the demons feel like being.
