Horus Heresy: Traitor Legion Champion Consul Revealed
Move over goody two shoes. The Traitors are back with a new Champion Consul of their own for the Horus Heresy!
The Traitor Legions of the Horus Heresy are getting a menacing new Champion Consul to add to their forces. These legendary swordsmen stalk the battlefield looking for enemy champions foolish enough to duel them. And you know anyone still wearing MK III Power Armor has been around the block…

“And although he has been painted in the colours of the Sons of Horus, the Traitor Champion Consul is Legion-agnostic and may be used by any of the nine Traitor Legions.”
Armed with a Power Sword and Volkite pistol this model also features both a helmeted and unhelmeted option.
It’s pretty clear that his set of MK III armor has been tinkered with. There’s extra reinforcement plates all over the place and it just looks a bit bulkier than the standard set. He’d make a perfect addition to armies that are running the upcoming MK III Space Marines.
But real talk for a second: What makes this model Traitor Legion only? The only indicator I can see for sure is the Eye of Horus on the belt. That seems like a detail that can easily be covered up or filed down. Again, the model is suppose to be Traitor Legion agnostic — but if that’s the case couldn’t he be used by Loyalist Legions? I mean, sure they already got their Champion Consul but look at that model:
This one feels like it’s kind of got the same issue…Don’t be fooled by the paint job. Eh, either way both of these Champion Consuls look the part and will fit in their respective armies quite well.
