The three heroes must team up to save the world from a Kree general and her army. Check out how The Marvels meet in this trailer.

I’ve been looking forward to this team-up since Ms. Marvel’s solo show was announced. I’m a huge Carol fan, and it’s a big deal to have a woman-led story in the comic book movie space. This movie is just as much about friendship and teamwork as it is about kicking Kree ass and saving the world. Director Nia DaCosta described the trio of actors as having a sisterly bond, one that mirrors the movie.

“I’m excited that the MCU has three lead women, all from very diverse backgrounds, and they’re all baddies in their own way. It’s going to be really exciting just to see these smart, fun, intelligent, and troubled women find their way.”

Captain Marvel is at the center of this story, and she has just as much to learn as Kamala and Monica.

“I understand that feeling of being afraid to let go of control, of being afraid of passing on responsibility to others. You almost want to take on all of the burden yourself. So, I think this is an incredible metaphor for learning how to be in a team. It’s a very clear example that no one person can do it all. You need all kinds of skill sets, all kinds of people with different viewpoints and different backgrounds in order to save the world.”

The Marvels Cast & Synopsis

The movie sees the return of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. Plus, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat), and Park Seo-joon (Parasite). It’s directed by Nia DaCosta (Little Woods, Candyman) from a script she wrote with Megan McDonnell (WandaVision), Elissa Karasik (Loki), and Zeb Wells (She-Hulk).

Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.

The Marvels hits theaters on November 10th.
