Warhammer 40K: Darktide changes in a big way come October. With overhauls to all of its classes, here’s a look at what’s in Patch 13.
October can’t get here soon enough for Warhammer 40K: Darktide. Patch 13 promises an overhaul for every class. From Psykers to Zealots and beyond.
Each class will be getting their own “RPG-style talent tree” with different branches that you can travel down, picking abilities to customize your playstyle as you go. This is a glimpse at the Darktide that was promised, or at least hinted at, in the months running up to release. And now that the dev team has been hard at work on this new iteration, there’s a lot to be excited about. Check out the new teaser!
Warhammer 40K: Darktide Patch #13 – Class Overhaul Teaser
Each class will have 1 talent tree featuring 3 main paths. Each path will feature many nodes and several additional abilities, allowing players to tinker with their playstyle and create different builds for their characters.
The teaser is so brief. So brief. There’s no real description of what these abilities might look like. But we do have a sample talent tree, pictured above. You can kind of see where the different trees are headed. The various abilities branch into one another, each one suggesting a different theme. As you might expect, the abilities are grouped into different themes. You can see some offensive, defensive, and support/mobility icons.
These will replace the current leveling schemes when the patch rolls out. You might be able to spot some familiar icons along the way. But, at any rate, more information is expected to roll out later in the month. So be on the lookout for a deeper dive into what these talent trees mean for each of the class.
