Get into the exciting, fast-paced skirmish combat of D&D Onslaught with the core box set currently on sale!

No matter if you prefer the roleplay aspects of Dungeons & Dragons, or constantly find yourself itching for a fight, there’s no doubt combat is fun. D&D Onslaught condenses the best parts of combat in D&D into a scrappy, competitive brawl that’s easy to learn and fun to play.

Towards the end of last year, our very own Adam Harrison got to take a first look at D&D Onslaught at PAX Unplugged and absolutely loved it.

Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught was easy to learn, quick to play, and is a fun skirmish game. There’s enough tactical depth and choice to keep things interesting and the PvEvP style gameplay adds an extra layer to your typical PvP skirmish game. I’m sure I’ve missed some stuff in my brief run down here but the main point is that it was fun, fast, and easy to get into. I’m looking forward to playing again!

D&D Onslaught Overview

One of the best things about Onslaught is, that if you already know D&D, you’re most of the way to knowing the rules of Onslaught. The core mechanics are unchanged: roll a d20, add modifiers, and try to get higher than the enemy’s AC to land a hit. But Onslaught adds a lot more to the mix.

Each character has their own board to list their abilities and track HP, Inspiration, and XP since your characters can level up between games.

But, D&D Onslaught is a competitive game. Each game will list the objectives for the scenario and how to score points. This could be collecting treasure, or killing monsters, or even other players. It’s a game that rewards adaptable teams that can tackle several objectives at once.
