Apparently fur is in for the season. At least for this new tease from the Advent Engine.

It’s that special time of year when Games Workshop’s teaser department kicks into overdrive and we get the Advent Engine. Today is Day 4 and we’ve got another big teaser. It looks like someone is wearing a cape that’s topped with fur. At least, that’s what we think it looks like. But see for yourself!

“Some would say that a cloak is key to being a fashionista in the worlds of Warhammer. Whoever we’re seeing in today’s Advent Engine image would clearly agree. Check out those smooth lines, that layered fur, and the fluttering parchment accessories. Style. Icon. “

Advent Engine ‘Fur Cape’

Well, from the text from WarCom it appears we’re on a similar train of thought. They pretty much confirmed this is an image of something with layered fur on it.  There’s quite a few armies that utilize layered fur on their cloaks and capes. Personally, my mind immediately goes to Chaos and the Slaves to Darkness:

The newest kits changed up the “standard” fur but it’s still there. But let’s not forget their 40k counter-parts either. Infact, Abaddon is a pretty keen example of this look, too:

That said, we do have what appear to be three ribbons coming off the left side, too. That’s certainly more indicative of something like a purity seal, isn’t it? And that’s a whole lot more Imperial than chaos…

Space Wolves could be a candidate. Or really any Space Marines as the purity seals are kind of their thing. Plus, they aren’t afraid of a little extra lining in their cloaks/capes, either.

There’s a lot more options out there, too. But enough of our theories. If you’ve got some guesses drop us a line in the comments and let us know what you think it could be!
