Games Workshop: Warhammer Heroes Returns After 4 Year Hiatus
Do you know an outstanding community champion for Warhammer? Nominate them for Warhammer Heroes and let the world know!
Games Workshop is bringing back one of it’s pre-pandemic awards for the greater Warhammer Community. Warhammer Heroes is an award given out to folks who help to promote, inspire, encourage, and support the Warhammer hobby. They might be your local Tournament Organizer. They could be your buddy that’s setup game nights for Warhammer.
These are the hidden champions of Warhammer that get people together to build, paint, and play. Really, if you feel like a person has made an impact on your Warhammer hobby then they are worth nominiating.
“So much is driven by you out there in the community, where hidden champions run events, host games nights, and teach people how to build and paint miniatures. These international individuals should be commended for their efforts, singled out for praise, and recognised for their contributions to the Warhammer hobby – that’s why we introduced Warhammer Heroes originally and why we are bringing it back today.”
If your nominated hero wins they will be invited to special Award Evening hosted by Games Workshop. Additionally, they’ll also get their name on a plaque on the wall of honour at Bugman’s Bar in Warhammer World!
Warhammer Heroes Returns
“After a four-year break, we’ve not yet had the opportunity to celebrate our 2020 winners fully, so this is also their moment. Warhammer Heroes from 2020 will be contacted once all of our 2024 winners have been chosen in order to be invited to one of our Warhammer Heroes Awards Evenings around the world.”
As always, check the Terms and Conditions. But if you’ve got someone at your local club or hobby space that you think would be a good fit then you should nominate them! And even if you don’t nominate them you should at least let them know how much you appreciate them and what they do for your local Warhammer Community.
I know from experience how thankless being a Tournament Organizer can be sometimes. So next time you see them just say “hey — thanks for what you do!” They will appreciate the gesture, trust me.
