Grey Knight Tacticians Rejoice! ‘Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters’ is Coming to Console
Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, the turn-based tactics and harrowing Grey Knight campaign, comes to consoles next month!
One of the best Warhammer 40K video games will soon be available to even more players. A new trailer reveals the console release date for Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, a turn-based tactical game that puts you in charge of a squad of Grey Knights tasked with investigating and defeating an incursion of Nurgle’s lovely plagues.
The best way to sum up this game is what if XCOM was in 40K, and instead of controlling XCOM operatives who can’t make a 99% chance to hit shot to literally save their lives, it was Grey Knights. They still will miss those high hit chance shots, but, even when that happens, they’re still wearing terminator armor.
In the game, you can outfit your Grey Knight squad and customize them to be exactly who you want. You could, for instance, make a squad of nothing but Interceptors, teleporting around the map and killing everyone. Or you could armor up everyone as an Apothecary and make all sorts of extractions
The best bet is probably to have a mix, though. And what a mix. You can not only customize their Grey Knight abilities; every “class” has its own talent tree with four different branches you can lean into, but you can also kit them out with all sorts of different gear.
Every playthrough will be different. If you want a challenging tactics game that will still leave you feeling absolutely unstoppable once you really get going, Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is the way to go.
